Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing team. This position plays a key role in executing both internal and external communications strategies to support the firm’s brand and visibility. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and collaborator, capable of managing multiple projects and working closely with attorneys, leadership, and outside vendors. In addition to core communications duties, the role will contribute to broader marketing efforts and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases and media alerts related to attorney moves, firm milestones, and community involvement
  • Coordinate submissions for legal rankings and awards, including tracking deadlines, gathering required materials, and liaising with stakeholders
  • Analyze and report on public relations activities, media placements, and communications performance metrics
  • Maintain and update attorney biographies and related content on the firm’s website, ensuring consistency with branding and recent achievements
  • Collaborate with external PR partners to evaluate media opportunities, schedule interviews, and align messaging with firm standards
  • Support internal communications, newsletters, and special firmwide announcements
  • Assist with additional marketing tasks and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a communications or PR role, preferably in a law firm, agency, or professional services setting
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with comfort working across departments and levels
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
