Essential Duties & Responsibilities include designing and implementing curriculum, instruction, and assessments aligned with designated standards and research-based practices; utilizing assessment data to implement responsive instructional interventions; modeling and supporting a faith-filled Catholic environment; maintaining strong classroom management skills; meeting academic and socio-emotional needs of diverse learners; implementing school-wide systems; engaging in collaborative and professional learning sessions; collaborating with school employees; communicating and partnering with parents; covering assigned staff duties including recess supervision; maintaining confidentiality over student and institutional information; acting as a role model of professionalism in a Catholic environment; supporting the philosophy, policies, and goals of the school; ensuring health, safety, and welfare of students; adhering to policies and procedures; working as part of a team; attending meetings as needed. Required skills include strong managerial and administrative skills, ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and public, self-motivation, knowledge of first-aid, ability to work independently, outstanding interpersonal skills, and ethical discretion. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (required), valid CA teaching credential (preferred), Master’s degree in education (preferred), experience in Catholic education (preferred), excellent communication skills, proficiency in word processing and school information systems, and physical ability to perform job duties. Must support the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church and act as a Minister of the Faith.
