Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino is our new resort that includes a casino with a total of nearly 38,000 square feet, including space for 640 slot machines and 18 tables for blackjack, craps, roulette, and other house-banked card games, along with high-stakes bingo action. Included in the totals are a smoke-free gaming space with 104 slot machines and a high-limit gaming area with 42 slot machines and four table games.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Bingo Callers are a key part of any Bingo team, with the responsibility of running most of the games. They must ensure that each game runs smoothly - calling the numbers generated randomly by computer, handling any winning claims, providing banter and amusing players between games. The pace can be quite fast with a Bingo Caller calling on average 15 to 20 games during a one-hour slot.

During quiet times, Bingo Callers may be expected to carry out other tasks, such as preparing tickets and promotional materials. It is the responsibility of the Caller to build a rapport with the audience, providing entertaining commentary and creating a lively, sociable atmosphere. Bingo Callers need to think fast and improvise, occasionally making reference(s) to special groups in the Bingo Hall.

Job Requirements

• Provide information/answer customer questions about the bingo games operated by the Casino
• Must ensure that each game runs smoothly - calling the numbers generated randomly by computer
• Verify Bingo when "BINGO" is called by customer
• Follow proper procedures in opening and closing area of responsibility
• Maintains awareness of all Bingo floor activities
• Assists in ensuring compliance with federal currency reporting requirements
• Adheres to all Casino policies and procedures and internal controls
• Assists new customers in how to play the games
• Promotes the sale of Bingo game cards to customers
• Maintains/responsible for Bingo banks if applicable
• Help settle customer disputes
• Ability to perform assigned duties in highly disruptive conditions
• Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time
• Must have thorough knowledge of the principals and procedures of the games under supervision
• Must have strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to do basic math quickly and accurately; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Must pass initial drug screening and random drug tests

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

CLOSING:

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
