Job Description

Your New Company:

Are you ready to take on a high-impact role with a leading general contractor specializing in mission-critical facilities ? We’re seeking a Construction Project Manager to work on commercial interior SCIF projects across Northern Virginia and DC —with a focus on government buildings and data centers . The position is hybrid, offering excellent flexibility.

This is a long-term, permanent career-building opportunity with a clear path to a Senior Project Manager role . If you're looking for a flexible, hybrid work environment and the chance to work on high-profile, secure projects , this is your moment to step up! Open to experienced APMs or PMs.

Your Role:

As Construction Project Manager , you’ll be part of a seasoned and successful team , reporting to a Project Executive . You’ll oversee commercial interior SCIF projects valued between $1M - $5M , with construction schedules ranging from 16-30 weeks . Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing subcontractors —soliciting, coordinating, and overseeing their work.
  • Controlling project budgets —from initial planning through completion.
  • Leading client meetings —attending and conducting progress updates with all stakeholders.
  • Handling submittals, change orders, and RFIs to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Overseeing project invoicing —working closely with project accounting teams.
  • Supporting field management teams throughout project delivery.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience as an APM or PM with a general contractor.
  • Interior construction or renovation experience —ideally in SCIF projects , but experience in complex interiors is also valuable.
  • Construction-related degree (Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management) preferred but not required.
  • Tech-savvy —proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word .
  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to the nature of the work.
  • Must reside in Northern Virginia /surrounding for easy access to office and project sites.

What You’ll Get in Return :

  • Competitive base salary : $115K - $130K.
  • Company vehicle, gas card, and all expenses covered OR a vehicle allowance, your choice.
  • Hybrid work environment —flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
  • Annual bonus potential tied to performance, high performers earning 20% of their base salary.
  • Company-paid healthcare, dental, and vision plans —including family coverage.
  • 401K plan with a 3% company match
  • PTO starting at 3 weeks plus 1 week sick and paid federal holidays, scales up with tenure.
